Kuala Lumpur: A wildfire in California burning in remote forestland 230 miles northeast of San Francisco for more than a week is now a threat to homes.
On Saturday reports say it has devoured multiple homes.
They call it the state’s largest wildfire in 2021 so far and it has already levelled over a dozen houses and other structures when it tore through Indian Falls after dark.
Some structures in the Plumas County neighbourhood about 13 miles north of Quincy burned, but many were also saved.
The U.S. Forest Service pinned the blaze at 190,625 acres, or 297 square miles, on Sunday. That’s nearly six times the size of San Francisco.
The California fire is one of 88 large blazes raging in the U.S!
Large wildfires were burning across almost 1.5 million acres in the U.S. as of Saturday.
