Kuala Lumpur: There is little room for debate in Parliament which starts today after PM TS Muhyiddin Yassin agreed to allow the house to sit.
The Parliament will meet for the first time this year on Monday. There will be five days sitting, but the opposition is saying it will be one-way traffic.
MPs from the opposition parties say the five-day special sitting will yield no substantial debates regarding the country’s health crisis or ailing economy.
Under pressure, Muhyiddin is allowing the Parliament to sit as the Covid-19 pandemic situation worsens.
One big question on everybody’s lips is where will Umno MPs sit in Parliament?
As far as we know, the Umno MPs will not sit with the opposition MPs in Parliament today. While Umno has withdrawn support for PM Muhyiddin, it did not pull out of the PN government.
