Hospital Beds, Oxygen In Short Supply In Indonesia

Kuala Lumpur: Indonesia is seeing a short supply of hospital beds and oxygen supply and this is not helping with COVID-19 cases raging.

Many COVID-19 patients have been denied treatment in hospitals, leading them to self-isolate at home.

Indonesia has the world’s highest daily COVID-19 caseload and mortality.

There had been over 3.3 million cases and over 92,000 deaths in the country as of Friday (July 30).

The government gave guarantees on June 25 that there was enough oxygen on Java Island.

Dozens of patients are said to have perished after a hospital in Yogyakarta ran out of oxygen in early July.
