Youth Will Not Protest If PM Resigns

1 min read

Kuala Lumpur: DS Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says the protest by the young people on Saturday last would not take place if PM Muhyiddin Yassin had resigned.

Hundreds of youth all in black and carrying banners calling for Muhyiddin to quit and saying $kerajaangagal walked the streets of Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.

Zahid also says the PM should quit for a new leader to take over the helm and bring the country out of the current political impasse.

Muhyiddin has refused to bow to pressure after the Royal rebuke last week, instead preferring to postpone the parliamentary sitting on Monday (Aug 1) to avoid a motion of no confidence.
