KUALA LUMPUR: PM Muhyiddin Yasmin will submit his resignation to the king on Monday, says Reuters, citing a report on Malaysiakini.
Malaysiakini says Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof told the portal the PM is submitting his resignation on Monday.
The resignation, if confirmed, would end a tumultuous 17 months in office for Muhyiddin.
Reuters say it would be up to the constitutional monarch, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, to decide what happens next.
