53 New Cases Of COVID-19 Infection In S’pore

Kuala Lumpur: On Wednesday (Aug 18) the Singapore Ministry of Health has preliminarily confirmed an additional 53 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore. This brings the total number of infection cases to 66,334.

There are 49 new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection, of which 23 are linked to previous cases and have been placed on quarantine, says The Online Citizen.

Since last month. the percentage of unvaccinated who became severely ill or died is 9.6 per cent, while that for the fully vaccinated is 1.4 per cent.
