Singapore’s Strait Times says official sources informed the paper the leaders (the PM and the opposition trio, Anwar Ibrahim, Mohammad Sabu and Lim Guan Eng) discussed a confidence and supply agreement (CSA).
On the other hand, the PH’s 88 lawmakers will vote in favour of the newly appointed Premier in an upcoming confidence motion and support Bills relating to government expenditure.
A tactical move, they say by the new PM Ismail Sabri Yaakob who offered opposition rivals reforms and other measures to combat the COVID-19 problem and in exchange for support in Parliament thus eliminating complications that may arise in a motion of no confidence.
