Fifteen COVID-19 Deaths IN Singapore In August

Fifteen people in Singapore so far have died in August from issues linked to Covid-19 infection, which is the highest monthly death rate in the tiny republic since it was hit by the pandemic.

Straits Times says there were 37 deaths from January last year till last month.

Why has there been a surge in deaths even as more residents are getting vaccinated? The paper says the simple answer is the Delta Variant. It says the variant attacks the people who are not vaccinated.
