Anwar Ibrahim yesterday tweeted the opposition will not be more vociferous and will press the government of PM Ismail Sabri Yaakob on solutions to end the COVID-19 pandemic.
Good choice of words, but a bit late in action, certainly after the meeting of the opposition leaders, Anwar, Lim Guan Eng and Mohammad Sabu with the PM last week.
A meeting that took place in haste perhaps to influence his decision in the cabinet lineup though Anwar firmly denies the meeting had anything to do with Cabinet formation.
Nevertheless, the opposition has to be more pro-active and less compromising and play its role if does not want to face defeat in the next GE.
