Afghan women go from wearing suits to wearing burqas

One month after the Taliban, on Aug. 15, retook Kabul without firing a single shot woman in Kabul are back wearing the burqas. Not that they want to, but they are doing so for fear of the Taliban.

But who are these women? During the US military presence in Kabul, some women were going around not wearing ‘tudung’ and the blue burqas.

Now that the Taliban is back in power in Kabul, these women are returning to the old traditions…by force.
