Malaysians trust doctors most and politicians less a survey by Ipsos shows. The survey says doctors surpass teachers who held the top spot in 2019.
The survey did not say why Malaysians mistrust politicians more but perhaps it is because of the sad events that led to the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government in 2020 and the coup by the Perikatan Nasional in the infamous Sheraton move.
The survey, titled Trust in Professions says 68 per cent of Malaysians consider doctors trustworthy, followed by teachers (65 per cent), scientists (57 per cent), armed forces (52 per cent) and judges (49 per cent).
Ipsos noted that the world also trusts doctors the most.
