Kedah state government run by PAS says it will ban all 4D lottery shops amid pressure for the Islamic party to keep its apparent electoral promises on 4D and liquor bans.

Chief Minister Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, said the ban will be enforced “immediately” and the state will stop issuing new premises licenses for gambling premises in the state.

It also means existing licenses cannot get theirs renewed thus ending an era of 4D shops in the state.
