First 2 imported Omicron cases in detected Singapore

Two imported Covid-19 instances tested positive for the Omicron strain on Thursday in Singapore (Dec 2), according to the Ministry of Health (MOH).

When they arrived in Singapore on Wednesday, both passengers were secluded and had no contact with anyone in the community.

“At this time, there is no evidence of any community transmission from these instances,” the MOH stated in a statement on Thursday.
