The incident occurred at 2.30 a.m. on March 13 when the couple, husband and wife, pulled over to the side of the road to exchange drivers, and the daughter slipped out of the car without their knowledge before they resumed their journey home to Kelantan.
When a passer-by heard loud cries in front of his house, he approached her to offer assistance, but she fled away for almost a kilometre.
He phoned the cops to assist calm the child down, and when she arrived at the station, she remembered her parents’ phone numbers, so the cops were able to contact them.
