Cars entering KL may soon be charged for congestion fee

Malaysia may see the imposition of a congestion fee for vehicles entering Kuala Lumpur soon. The Ministry of Transport says this is necessary because traffic congestion is getting worse due to the opening of many office buildings, hotels and supermarkets in the city.

But the construction of MRT3 is expected to reduce this congestion when it is fully completed later but the congestion fee is being suggested as an additional method to reduce traffic jams in KL.

It means that drivers entering Kuala Lumpur will have to pay certain charges and if they want to save more, they need to take the MRT3 to get into Kuala Lumpur.
