Three veteran political leaders in Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang and Abdul Hadi Awang tested positive for COVID-19 in a twist of events. All three used to be on the same platform in a long-lost past, fighting the Barisan Nasional regime.
Now, Kit Siang has duly retired as a politician from the DAP. Anwar is still the opposition leader while Hadi is a sort of minister-ambassador at large for the Middle East.
Johor MP Lim Kit Siang, 81, tested positive using both the PCR and RTK-antigen tests, Anwar used the RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction) test.
