After testing positive for COVID-19, Malaysian king Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah and queen Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah are undergoing self-quarantine at Istana Negara.
Sultan Abdullah will be confined until Thursday (April 7), while Tunku Azizah will be isolated until Friday, according to Comptroller of the Royal Household for Istana Negara Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin.
According to Ahmad Fadil, the king and queen agreed to self-quarantine in accordance with the Health Ministry’s protocols and standard operating procedures for COVID-19 patients with no or moderate symptoms. @LatestMalaysia
