On Sunday, a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 737-800 had a steep nose-dive on a routine flight from Kuala Lumpur to Tawau. This incident is similar to the China Eastern flight 5735 crash on 21st March 2022 which was the same exact plane model as the Malaysia Airlines plane.

Currently, China Eastern flight 5735 is being investigated and there might be some hints or clues to what happened. The Malaysia Airlines plane reportedly dropped from 25,000 feet to 23,000 feet, and the airline stated that this happened due to bad weather.

It gained notoriety when the 737 Max crashed twice due to a system failure. Experts are saying that China Eastern flight 5735 is an older 737-800 NG version that came out in 1998 and is thus safe. These ‘experts’ may have forgotten about the rudder malfunctions the older 737s had in the 1990s (which also brought down a couple 20 years old 737s). What do you think? Is it a coincidence or is it not?
