CIMB is facing a class action lawsuit from 650 customers for the amount of RM650 Million. This is due to their customers claiming that CIMB forcefully took RM1 million from their bank accounts. Apparently this was allegedly done to help CIMB go through their debt recovery exercise.

This is following CIMB countersuing 12 of their customers RM1.39 million as they were sued for ‘unjustly crediting’ their customer’s bank accounts. CIMB’s response was that they had the right to debit or put anyone’s accounts on hold.

CIMB has always faced problems and this massive class action lawsuit has the public opinion turning against them. Netizens mentioned that Maybank has the best online services, for example, which is Maybank2u. Public bank having fast service at their branches meanwhile CIMB? There’s a black hole here!  More @LatestMalaysia
