It was a sea of people waiting up for 3 hours to enter JB from Singapore, and it was a fantastic scene – like a post-apocalyptic once upon a time – but this time, with people seeking to free themselves from their miseries in order to reach the promised land of Johor!
Many people have never witnessed such a large line snaking all the way from the second level to the bottom floor of the customs area to cross the Causeway on a Saturday night.
That occurred on Sunday night, April 10, and the photos were shot by a Singaporean who had a day trip to Johor Bahru and stated that he arrived at the Johor Bahru Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security complex at 6 p.m. but ended up queuing for the following 3.5 hours. At 9:30 p.m., he was able to cross customs. – Pictures by Daniel Wong
