Singapore’s money changers have ran out of ringgit

People are lining up to get the Malaysian Ringgit in Singapore at the money changers but with the local currency nosediving, some money changers are running out of the local legal tender due to growing demand.

On April 25, as the Singapore dollar touched 3.17 versus the Malaysian ringgit, people queued up in downtown Singapore to buy the ringgit.

The effect of this is the Malaysian workers are leaving their jobs, in Johor, in particular, to seek employment in Singapore to earn the higher-rated Singapore dollar!
