A netizen on Twitter posted the listing of AirAsia’s directorial salaries, and it was quite a big number for some of the key people of the airline. This sparked debates on Twitter as AirAsia customers experienced cancellations during Covid-19 lockdowns and some still haven’t received refunds.
Netizens are accusing AirAsia of being a scam, and brought up Tony Fernandez’s recent purchases. They further mentioned that the airline claims to care about their customers while laying a lot of them while having large salaries for their top management.
Other netizens have joked that rather than sending emails on ‘how to make ketupat’ this Raya, AirAsia should send emails on ‘how to refund your customers’. Some were also mentioning that since AirAsia’s fares and Malaysia Airlines fares are similar, they’d just fly the latter.
