Recently a netizen tweeted a photo from an airplane and stated that those lights aren’t street lamps but lights from cars. Hari Raya festivities are one of the biggest holidays in Malaysia as the majority of the country would return to their hometowns.
Some netizens were joking, saying this is probably the reason why there’s no lamp post installed on the highway. Some were saying that the user must have been happy to avoid the crazy jam.
Now with the Raya week almost over, a majority of people will return back to work hence the jam. Furthermore, another explanation for this would be that after 2 years of lockdown during the celebrations, most people had the intention to return to their kampung.
