The government has finally relaxed the Covid-19 regulations in Indonesia prompting Indonesians to say ‘bye bye masker’ or goodbye to the wearing of masks.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo decided to loosen the rules by allowing residents to discard the mandatory use of masks in open spaces and the Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that it is permissible to open masks outside and it is part of the transition plan from pandemic to the endemic stage.
However, the health minister reminded the people that the important thing for a successful transition process is the responsibility of the community to cater for their own health.
