One netizen tweeted about how poorly received the MRT when it was being built, stating the public went against its construction. Now that the traffic situation is currently bad in the country, they’re complaining and wish that we had better public transportation.

This is especially true back in 2012 where homeowners from TTDI were against the construction of the MRT Kajang line. They claimed that noise pollution, rail vibrations and infrastructure eyesore would decline their property values. Just take a look at their property values today, has it declined due to the MRT? Nope.

Another netizen went against the tweet saying the government did not build the MRT infrastructure properly as it barely has proper access for commuters. Regardless of what was said, many local residents went against the MRT being built near their homes and now they have to brace the consequences themselves.
