According to a local social news platform, a 21 year old college student jumped off the Penang bridge. There was a car found but without the owner near the bridge’s location. According to other netizens, the bridge is notorious for people to jump off it, as last month alone there were at least 8 cases.
Netizens who had experience of being suicidal or had someone close to them that felt that way mentioned there are reasons why someone would do that. Some are even comparing Malaysia with Japan’s suicide rates as they claim its increasing.
