Luxury Designer Bottega Veneta ACCUSED of Stealing An Artist’s Design

1 min read

On Twitter, a Black small business owner had recently complained that Bottega Veneta allegedly stole her handbag design. The two look as similar as they can be, yet at the same time slightly different.

The pouch is called ‘Loofah Purse’ and is being sold for RM220 ($50) on her website and comes in a variety of colours. Bottega, on the other hand, sells a similar design for RM9,000. The straps on the two bags differ, and the shape is slightly different.

A twitter user commented that the bags look similar but it’s not a direct copy. Others were defending the small business owner saying that the base design is still the same. Some are claiming that the woman is doing this for publicity and is part of her marketing campaign. We would never know.
