That may come as a surprise to many but new Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has apparently banned his players from drinking alcohol before a match and probably while they are with the team.

He has also set a new standard at the club: Players who come late for training or are not attending training sessions will be left behind as in they will not be given a chance to play in matches.

Drinking alcohol during the week before the weekend matches in the Premier League is also banned and the 52-year-old Dutch coach says this is because the club has a tight schedule. He wants them to have their heads on their shoulders!
