It was stated by a Chinese news agency that China is ready to purchase palm oil and durians from Malaysia. It was reported that this happened during a meeting between our Prime Minister Ismail Sabri and the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi.

The Foreign Minister had a taste of the Musang King Cheese cake and he apparently liked it. It has been dubbed as the most luxurious version of the durian available for purchase, thus the name king of the king of fruits.

China currently accounts 19% of Malaysia’s total Palm oil exports and Malaysia is reported to be the world’s 2nd largest producer of the product. After facing criticism from the West, China hopes to strengthen ties with their Southeast Asian neighbours such as Malaysia and Indonesia.
