PM Ismail Sabri Yaakob says elections will not be held that soon because the country needed more reforms that his government will push forward.
An agreement between the government and the opposition parties to delay dissolving Parliament expires today and it won’t be legally extended but it will remain in force until he dissolves it.
There is immense pressure from his party Umno to dissolve Parliament as soon as the confidence-and-supply agreement or CSA permits it, but the PM seems not to be in a rush to announce snap elections.
