Hedda Hopper was a well known Hollywood character, she acted in it and later on she reported about it. A conservative, yet fashionable woman known for her eccentric hats spread fear to all Hollywood celebrities from the 1930s till her death in 1966.
It was known that she would work together with her celebrity friends to bring down other celebrities. At the peak of her journalist career, she had over 30 million readers. Whatever was published in her column would make or break careers.
She was particularly known for her negative sentiments towards communists, cheaters, people of loose morals. Movies like Trumbo (2015) and TV shows like Feud (2017) have shown roughly an accurate depiction of her intimidating behaviour.
