After facing backlash over a puppy that he claimed he ate when rescuers came to his home after a complaint by a Facebook user, the man is now saying he did not eat the cute puppy.
Instead, Chen Taiyu (his name), says he wanted to teach the woman a lesson about leaving animals with strangers and that is why he said he ate the puppy. He told a local Chinese paper he is a dog lover since he was a child, and that the dog is still alive.
However, the dog, he says is no longer in his care, because he gave it away to some workers at a scrap metal factory where he brought the reporters and the factory workers, showing a grown-up dog, say one day they saw the dog at the factory and they took care of it.
