The Malaysian Health Ministry has come out with a statement today stating that the European ice-cream maker Haagen-Dazs contains Ethylene Oxide. According to the CDC, this substance is used to make detergents, antifreeze and to sterilise hospital equipment.
The side effects when exposed to this substance are nausea, diarrhoea, headaches and many more. Netizens are not happy with MOH mentioning why we have to wait for the EU to come clean, aren’t we checking the substance in our food?
‘Fuhh nasib baik miskin’ joked a netizen. This is due to Haagen-Dazs being significantly more expensive than our local branded ice creams.
