It has been mentioned on Twitter by a netizen that there will be major changes for workers in Malaysia on 1st September onwards. Now Malaysians who earn between RM2,000 to RM4,000 will get benefits.

The benefits entails more pay for overtime, this is for the 9-5 workers. More salary will also need to be paid to those that are forced to work on weekends and maternity leaves will be increased to 98 days from the existing 60 days.

Netizens responded that laws can be made, but if the company refuses to follow there’s nothing that can be done about it. Others complained about those with salaries with RM4,001 and above not being able to enjoy these benefits.
