The new Malaysian Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim has set a lot of hopes up with his time of being the nation’s leader. Retailers are also hoping that he would help in the reduction of goods prices as they are at a steep price now.

A netizen stated that prices for essentials have gone down recently, and that there is more to come in the near future. There were comments unrelated to the situation where other netizens do not want any “lanuns” to be in the still unformed cabinet. 

Tweets about the new Malaysian cabinet being “lean and mean” is also another trending topic among Malaysians. The previous cabinet was quite a crowd, yet they still could not stop the massive inflation rate that happened under their control.
