With the announcement of the Cabinet lineup yesterday and the surprises as well as the expected nominations, we welcome you, readers to the new Malaysia under the leadership of PM 10 Anwar Ibrahim who is heading a government of national unity, without the participation of the PN and the PAS.
Of the surprises for the people is the return of Umno leader Ahmad Zahid Hamidi as the DPM, a post he occupied under ex-PM Najib Tun Razak. Malaysia is now a new democracy with an alliance in power. For that matter, PH has to accommodate the members of the coalition and sacrifice some people from its own grouping.

Thus the absence of Lim Guan Eng, who is not the leader of the DAP anymore, and of several other DAP and Amanah members who were in ex-PM Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s cabinet. We complain about old faces always, so this time Anwar allowed many new faces to take the Ministerial posts.
We all have many questions, but now is time to see how this new cabinet addresses the many issues Malaysia and its people face.
