In a special media conference with a live telecast on the usual social media platforms, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim made it clear that he is not taking any salaries, adding that when a Minister holds two posts, he or she gets only one salary, not two thus he will not also get any pay as Minister of Finance. So no salary as PM for Anwar.
Promises were kept also for Anwar since the entire Cabinet of Ministers has agreed with him to take a 20% cut in their salaries every month and he thanked his Ministers for their good faith and for their sacrifices.
No Salary as PM and Salary Cut For Ministers
He says that he is fully confident that his Cabinet as a team will do their work and not allow kleptocracy, a system he says has caused much trouble in the country and his government will keep its promises of not allowing companies and politicians to get businesses without tender.
