The news that Anwar Ibrahim became the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia has stirred a lot of interest in the Muslim world and now Syekh Jamal Farouk Jibreel from the Universiti Al Azhar in Egypt, seen as a top Egyptian scholar in Islam, paid a visit to the PM.
During his visit yesterday, Sheikh Jamal had time to deliver a lecture at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence in Seri Perdana, Putrajaya.

“Alhamdulillah, I had the opportunity to celebrate the visit of Sheikh Jamal Farouk Jibreel. In the meeting which was also attended by YB Minister of Religion, Datuk Seri Dr Na’im Mokhtar, we had time to discuss Islamic higher education, especially the strengthening of Malaysia’s relationship with Al Azhar which currently houses 6,204 students from the homeland,” said Anwar.
