A Fact-checking netizen has said Abdul Hadi Awang is wrong when it comes to the outcome of the last GE and why the PAS and PN did not form the government. Hadi had written a missive blasting ‘Muslims’ for not coming out to vote to prevent the DAP and its partners from winning the elections.

Fact check:

1) Terengganu had the 2nd highest voter turnout in GE15 (top was Pjaya). Only top 2 > 80%, other states all below 80%. Muslim = lazy to vote is a lie!

2) No idea where 98% came from. There's no seat higher than 85%.

Hadi had said in an “OPEN LETTER TO HAJJ AND UMRAH PILGRIMERS WHO DID NOT VOTE” that about 98 per cent of non-Muslims from all over the country and far corners of the world were mobilized to vote to gain power in our homeland by supporting DAP and its groups.
