Civil Defence Sergeant Melvin Chin, 59, a rescue worker from Klang, offered to join the team searching for accident victims, some of whom were members of his family.
In a Facebook post, it was stated that Chin was shocked to learn of the landslide that claimed so many lives, especially considering that his Melaka relatives from his hometown were also there.
