Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim states that he would not compromise in the fight against corruption, even at the risk of losing his position as PM and this is both a warning to factions that are pressurising him to slow down against corruption and a reassurance to his allies that he will not abandon this fight.
Corruption Must Stop
However, some are still talking while they are outside the government, urging Anwar not to abandon the fight against corruption, ignoring the fact that Anwar is in power thanks to partners who are not known for their fight against corruption. But corruption must stop.
Nevertheless, so far, Anwar has taken bold steps to curb on corrupt practices though people are questioning the appointment of some of his close allies to ‘chairman’ posts in the private sector.
