In a nine-minute video depicting a lion dance performance for what appears to be a competition posted to TikTok by user @ahpeng2830 on January 14, a hijab-clad girl was identified as one half of a lion dance duet.

There appears to be officials and judges watching intently and taking notes at tables close to the performance area and applause could be heard at various moments in the video as the pair surprised the audience with their chemistry and well-honed routine.
The caption of the film, “This is 1 Malaysia,” appears to be a reference to racial harmony in the country.
