Nurul Izzah Anwar, former Permatang Pauh MP, shared on social media about her recent miscarriage, which she referred to as the “little boot” being gone. Along with the announcement, she shared a photo of her embracing her parents, PM Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

She reflected on the challenges the family had faced together in the past year, including campaigning for the election, getting Covid-19, learning of her pregnancy, and balancing her new duties while traveling between Penang and Putrajaya.
Despite the loss, she offered words of encouragement to others who may have gone through a similar experience, reminding them that “life does go on.”
