Former Member of Parliament for Permatang Pauh, Nurul Izzah Anwar confirmed that she was appointed as Senior Economic and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister who is also her father, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He confirmed the matter in an exclusive interview with a local newspaper Nurul Izzah says, he started his service with effect from January 3. “I hope that through my experience as a Member of Parliament involved in various fields while serving for the past four decades, I will be able to benefit in steering economic governance, accountability and national policy,” she says as quoted by a local newspaper.

He said, the main goal is to provide benefits to the country by giving more to the efforts to restore the people’s economy in particular. “One of my goals is to channel and utilize Malaysia’s best and brightest talents, inside and outside the government, to add value to the ongoing efforts to improve the economic condition of the people,” she says.
