After the 2023 budget, there were a lot of feathers ruffled. In particular, a Perikatan Nasional (PN) parliament member was upset that our Prime Minister only mentioned Bumiputera six times. She further questions whether this government is prioritising Bumiputera rights as little is mentioned about them.

Astro Awani posted the video on Twitter garnering over a million views. Netizens are quick to make fun of the situation saying that now our PM will say the word “Bumiputera” non-stop at the next budget. Other netizens are seeing through the MP’s hollow complaint stating that she is doing this just for views.
There were a number of lewd remarks directed to the opposition party, many are questioning their comprehension level. Furthermore, netizens were annoyed at the MP for not asking anything about the economy or the actual budget, but only the language used during it.
