Police are tracking the driver of a Toyota Alphard MPV who was recorded on video by a motorcyclist driving in the motorcycle lane. The video went viral (on Whatsapp) indeed and it is believed was recorded on the Federal Highway, Petaling Jaya on Saturday according to sketchy details.
Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said his party detected the 25-second video which went viral at 10.30 on Saturday night.
“A police report was made and investigation papers were opened according to Section 42 of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987 for reckless driving. If convicted, he can be sentenced to imprisonment of not more than five years or a fine of not less than RM5,000 and not more than RM15,000 and disqualification of his license for not less than five years,” he said in a statement on Sunday.
