The Perikatan Nasional political party made it plain that they are not friends with the current coalition government. They decide to openly spew hatred towards the current government with wild claims of wanting to topple the current government.

Netizens are vehemently against his statement as democracies do not work like that. One Twitter user states that he is saying all of this to gain more for himself. Others questioned him whether if this is factual, why should we even bother having general elections then?
Religious netizens also state that God has selected the current government to be elected. Some state that Hadi Awang should take it up to the Agong and discuss his grievances towards this new government.
