A 29-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman had a cosy chat in the living room of a house where they committed adultery in a Village called Alue Dua, in Kota Langsa, Aceh. It was the woman’s house and the chit chat was interrupted by the villagers who suspected something was amiss.
After the villagers inquired, perhaps pressing the woman to know why a stranger who is not her husband was in the house with her, she confessed to adultery.
Handed over to the authorities, they were each caned 100 times, Serambinews.com reported. The incident took place in February, on January 11. The woman is a mother and the man is from East Aceh,

The council found the couple guilty on February 21 and the execution of the sentence was also witnessed by the supervising judge from the Langsa Syariah Court, representatives of the Langsa government and the Aceh Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
