A man known as “Datuk Roy” has been remanded for three days by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to facilitate an investigation into the Jana Wibawa programme.

The MACC had applied for seven days of remand, but the court granted a three-day remand until March 16, which the man’s counsel Fahmi Abd Moin confirmed.
The investigation is being conducted under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009. Yesterday, the man surrendered himself to the MACC to assist in investigations on the Jana Wibawa scheme.
