Beginning on March 31, 2023, Singapore plans to update toll fees for all vehicles, except motorcycles, at the Tuas Checkpoint. This decision by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) comes in response to Malaysia’s recent adjustment of toll charges at the Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza (Second Link), adhering to Singapore’s long-established practice of mirroring Malaysia’s toll prices.
Revised toll prices for Tuas checkpoint
As part of the revision, the distinction between peak and off-peak tolls at Tuas Checkpoint, introduced in March 2020, will be eliminated. A unified all-day toll will be implemented instead. Currently, off-peak tolls for cars are S$1.10, while peak tolls are S$2.10. Under the new system, the all-day charge will be S$2.10. No alterations will be made to the Woodlands Checkpoint toll fees.
To ensure a smooth process at the checkpoints, drivers need to have enough credit on their stored value cards, such as Autopass cards for foreign-registered vehicles and Nets CashCard or Cepas cards for local vehicles. These cards must be inserted into the card reader at the immigration booth for the appropriate fees and charges to be deducted.
